We arrived at Maria Kucina just 30 minutes before closing, yet the staff still welcomed us with genuine warmth and no rush. The food felt like home—comforting, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. We had the relleno, chicharon bulalak, and a delicious beef steak dish (the exact name escapes me), and each plate was satisfying and well-presented. One charming touch is the selection of pasalubong delicacies displayed in the middle of the restaurant—perfect for bringing a taste of Maria Kucina home to your family and friends. It’s a place that feeds both the belly and the heart.

A very beautiful and cozy place to dine! The place has a very good vibe. There is also an area for a private group, which was in our case. The food tasted from good to great. We did not try the wine in the list. We only had the local beer, which is perfect for the foods we ordered. The staff who looked after us was also very professional.

Nice ambience. Awesome value and great food. A must visit in Bacolod. Update - we hosted a birthday party for 70 people using 2 function rooms. The quality and volume of food is great for the price. The service was very attentive and anticipated our needs. They were easy to deal with as well to set up the event. Maria Kucina is highly recommended for events, parties and functions

We had our breakfast here after visiting the church. Very nice, cozy and cool ambiance to dine in. Food tasted good and fit the price. They offer variety of Filipino dishes. Staffs are very attentive, friendly and welcoming.

Very cozy, homey restaurant. The entrance of the restaurant feels very welcoming as if you're vacationing to grama's house The interior is clean, well maintained and the lighting is just perfect. All the staff are very courteous and the servers were very attentive . The food is delicious however I was expecting something grand (in flavor) to match the ambience. Half of the food we ordered were on point and the other half is I would say mediocre - say the PancitMolo. The dumplings were tiny and a bit scattered/broken. I was expecting it piping hot with a lot of garlic and shrimp taste but missing. The Calamari has got thick batter and kind of chewy. Rest of our food though were perfectly done so kind of hit and miss. Nevertheless, very delicious and satisfying. Would sure go back once back in Bacolod to try other dish in their menu.

Maria Kucina Familia was one of the highly recommended restaurants by our friends who have already visited Bacolod. The restaurant used to be an old mansion based on its looks. The place was beautifully decorated and a lot of the old accents/structure from the old home was well maintained. Food was really good although a little pricey. Customer service was excellent. I just wished they did something about the mosquitoes, it was the only thing we didn’t like about the outdoor seating. They also have a complete display of negros/bacolod food souvenirs/pasalubong. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bacolod.
